New York City-based musician and director Anthony Saladino believes that great art teaches empathy. And that disco could save us all.

Growing up in the suburbs of New Jersey, Anthony spent much of his childhood romping around the woods making forts, pretending he was one of Peter Pan’s Lost Boys, or tucked into a spaceship made of pillows with his brother as they took on Darth Vader and the Empire. He’d dream of faraway places with unique names like Jaipur and Delaware (no one said he was smart).

Now, as a producer and director, not only does he get to work with artists who inspire him and challenge him on every level, he also gets to play make believe without his mom yelling at him that it’s time for dinner.

The rest of his time is spent traveling all over the country as the bassist and creative director for the rock band Animal Years, having adventures that have surpassed even his wildest childhood dreams. Anthony’s journeys have informed much of his unique voice just as his life as a musician has given him a first-hand perspective on what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera.

Anthony’s music videos have been featured on Billboard, Rolling Stone, Parade, Tidal, and CBS This Morning. You can find him on Instagram at @anthony_saladino.
